The text presents as a research object the Navy frigate “ARA Presidente Sarmiento”, which is part of Argentina’s landscape, tourism, education, heritage education, and nautical history. It addresses the transition of the functional military vessel from 1872 into a cultural heritage and museum ship in the 20th century. The research aimed to identify the processes of heritage preservation and museumization, evaluating their narrative in Heritage Education, as these are still incipient relational themes in the studies of Human and Social Sciences. The collection of historical and documentary information, as well as the technical visit to the research object in September 2022, contributed to the exploratory and qualitative methodology with the exhibition analysis linked to Maritime History. The exhibition’s narrative contains the representation of memories of learning and work, the culture of diplomacy in International Relations, and peace, shaping narratives for Heritage Education.
