This article presents some perspectives about the brazilians and paraenses (brazilians from a north state) participation in World War II (1939-1945), discussing the consequences of an aeronaval on Brazil's coast and the local mobilization for allies war effort, presenting the national alignment with the allies side, the formation of Brazilian Expeditionary Force and the social dinamics among this social group after the conflict. An important element to dicuss is the formation of ex-combatants association, specially in the state of Pará, showing some debates about social issues and indicators refering to veterans and their sociability networks, comprehending the different visions about the problematic social reintregration of war veterans.
