this article proposes two lines of reflection: the first, to think about the historical and cultural context in which Mother Teresa of Jesus and her work Castillo Interior, las Moradas are inserted, thus analyzing the allegorical aspects present in the book; and the second reflection, proposes a discussion about the semantic field by making an interpretative approach based on the theorical perspective about the gift and the notion of exchanges in Marcel Mauss’s The Gift.
