Abstract

This article is the, result of an academic master'dissertation research carried out at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in 2022. Its objective was to, analyze the execution of the professional work project of the social worker at the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance in the city of Guarujá-SP, and possible mimetic relationships between professional attribution versus actions described in the Social Assistance Policy. The research is based on qualitative methodology. Eight (8) analytical categories raised during the analysis process will be presented. Among the findings, it was found, that the specialized work of the social worker was mimicked in actions described in the social assistance policy, resulting from the reductionism that exists between professional training and the precariousness of the social assistance policy and its regulations.
