Abstract

This article, prepared through bibliographic and documentary research, seeks to highlight the relationship between Work and Social Assistance and demonstrate the impacts of neoliberal policy in the context of Brazilian capitalist society. It presents the tensions that cross this relationship, the transformations of and in the world of work; the recent legal provisions implemented by our governments and exposes the complex reality experienced in the country by the working class, aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic, in the influx of the capitalist system. Finally, it points out that the State prioritizes big capital through its legal tools and Public Fund resources to the detriment of the protection of the working class.
