bibliographical research by authors in the category, laws to protect children and adolescents and reports on the professional experiences of social workers. The theoretical/methodological framework used is historical-dialectical materialism, which analyzes the contradictions of social reality from the essence of the phenomena and which applied in education seeks to overcome a limiting, generalizing and endogenous view of the reality of families and break superficial actions capable of
unveiling the contradictions posed in everyday life to understand the phenomena that interfere in the teaching/learning process of students.
