SOCIAL SERVICE AND NURSING WORK WITH FAMILIES IN THE STRUCTURAL CRISIS OF CAPITALISM

Abstract

In the Brazilian capitalist society, social workers and nurses work with families. The article discusses the conceptions of work with families in literature of Social Work, grounded in the ethical and political project of Social Work and in work processes, and in the literature of Nursing, based in the context of families and in the Nursing Process applied to families. Objective: Analyze the conceptions of work with families of Social Work and Nursing, in context of the structural crisis of capitalism, through the dialectical and historical materialism. Methodology: Theoretical essay. Results: The social setbacks that cause impacts in Social Security and that reach the families has its origin in the structural crisis of capitalism, therefore it is necessary that social workers and nurses work with families in a critical perspective, in strengthening the working class, promoting their autonomy and participation as a form of resistance to enable critical professional interventions for Brazilian families.
