THE PRECARIOUSNESS OF TEACHING WORK: THE INCIDENCE OF SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS AT THE PAULISTA STATE UNIVERSITY "JÚLIO DE MESQUITA FILHO" CAMPUS DE FRANCA – SP
Abstract
This article refers to research that has as an objective to analyse the frequency of hiring of substitute teachers at UNESP, Franca during 2016-2019. The bibliographical research was realized by utilising the means of documentary and normative analysis of the documents and rules regarding the contracting of substitute teachers in that period, from the historical and dialectical materialist method. In the current Brazilian socio-political situation, characterised by ultra neoliberal measures, due to the structural crisis of capital, the education policy has been the target of counter-reforms of the State materialized in the flexibilization of outsourcing and precariousness of teaching work, and directly affect labour relations, mainly from the substitute teacher. In this sense, when there should be public tenders, to guarantee public and proper education, in addition to the stability of the teacher, what we realize is that temporary selective processes are carried out with labour contracts and CLT, materializing the withdrawal of workers' rights. The outcome of the study showed that substitute teachers are devalued and precarious in their teaching activities.
