Abstract

This article aims to present a discussion on the evaluation of social projects, as well as the way in which these actions, steps and methods are monitored. To guide this analysis, it is based on bibliographical research, comprising the evaluation as a whole, inserted in the process of developing social projects, being a tool that, combined with monitoring, will allow knowing, revealing and having access to information, and then intervene based on the content provided by it. In the course of the study, we also seek to discuss why evaluation is necessary and important in the process of developing a social project and why it should be evaluated. Therefore, it is still necessary to present the strengths and weaknesses that permeate this theme. This study will seek an analysis focused on aspects that involve (re)thinking public policies and the elaboration of proposals that question the development of projects in contemporary times, as well as proposing methods that add results. Based on this study, it is possible to understand how the construction of social indicators occurs through the bias of public policies and their interface with the improvement in the quality of life conditions of the target public.
