THE SOCIAL WORK AT ASSOCIATIONS OF PATIENTS WITH CLEFT LIP-PALATE IN BRAZIL

Abstract

This study had as objective to recognize the main attributions and actions developed by Social Workers from the Support Groups/Associations of parents and patients with cleft lip and / or hearing impairment (15). The actions, reveal the political, ethic and technical-operative dimensions in the professional practice, in the attendance of the demands that, requiring  from the professional competence in its most broad and current sense, in the creation of confrontational strategies of this reality in which the fulfillment of the rights of citizenship are still presented as a challenge.
