ABSTRACT

For more paradoxical it may seem there is a gap between education and culture in the teaching of most schools. If this is not true that there is rarely the interlacing of the yarns in the approaches used by teachers in different disciplines of the curriculum? Why are presented to students, knowledge ready and finished, without relating them to the methodological procedures of its process of development? Without using them for a reading of the world? This fragmentation results disastrous to the apprentice who, in most cases, decorate the concepts, returning them in time evaluation without understanding its meaning. This direction can be stated that the intent of teaching and learning rarely happens in classrooms, despite all the formality of the teaching that is surrounded, or even because of this formality. We understood that this disparity is due to the education of the knowledge by the school. To educate the cultural knowledge to the school has emptied of its meaning. There are educational experiences, although few, show that this can occur otherwise. These are the questions we want to discuss in this lecture.

Keywords: education. culture. education bank. democratization of education.
